The greenhouse gas reduction management policy of our Japanese subsidiary Sol-Plus Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as SPJ) and our Thai subsidiary HIRAISEIMITSU (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (abbreviated as HST), including reduction targets, implementation measures, and achievement status, is outlined as follows:

Environmental Policy: Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*: An initiative launched by international non-governmental organisations requiring private companies and various organisations to set greenhouse gas reduction targets based on scientific evidence to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement. Operated by CDP, the World Resources Institute, and the World Wide Fund for Nature. The SBTi certifies greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement as science-based targets.

Reduction target: Scope 1+2 emissions are to be reduced by 50% by 2030 compared to 2018 levels.

Environmental Policy

SBTi* (Science Based Targets initiative): An initiative launched by the international non-governmental organisations CDP, WRI, WWF and UNGC, calling upon private enterprises and organisations to set greenhouse gas reduction targets based on science to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement. SBTi certifies greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement as ‘science-based targets’. Reduction Targets Our objective is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50.4% from 2018 levels by 2030, thereby limiting global temperature rise to within 1.5°C.

Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets and Action Plan

To strengthen the Group's operational carbon management capabilities, a carbon management initiative will be launched. Operational sites with significant emissions will be prioritised for management through the establishment of carbon reduction targets and concrete action plans, thereby lowering the Group's overall carbon emissions.
