Water consumption

Water resource management policy:

Conserving water and protecting water resources is one of the environmental issues that IKKA values. Our Taiwan branch is a holding company and only generates general domestic sewage. Water consumption is not a major issue for our company.

Water conservation target:

With 2024 as the base year, the control target is to reduce the average annual water consumption per unit of business revenue by 1%.

Promotion measures

  • Promote the concept of water conservation among employees and encourage them to turn off water frequently.
  • An immediate reporting mechanism ensures that any damage or leakage to water supply equipment is repaired immediately to prevent water waste.
  • Sanitation equipment that adjusts the water flow rate of the water supply device or uses a water-saving valve, and adopts a sensor-based water-saving certification mark.

Waste

Waste reduction and management policy: Our Taiwan branch is a holding company, primarily engaged in stakeholder business. Waste mainly consists of general household waste, which is transported to incinerators by professional and qualified waste collection companies. Recyclable waste is handed over to recycling companies for recycling and reuse, reducing pollution and harm to the environment.

Waste management goals: Based on 2024 as the baseline year, the goal is to reduce domestic waste by 1% annually, and 100% of industrial waste will be handled by qualified waste disposal companies from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, who will use recycling, incineration, or other methods to achieve zero waste landfill and a 100% waste transfer rate.

Promotion measures

  • Encourage employee participation: Through training and promotional activities, encourage employees to actively participate in waste management, raise their awareness, and jointly promote environmental protection.
  • Strengthen resource recycling: Enhance recycling and reuse of materials such as paper, plastics, and metals, and establish effective recycling channels with professional manufacturers.
  • Waste reduction and plastic reduction: Gradually move towards a complete ban by 2030, in line with the government's reduction of four single-use plastic products: plastic straws, beverage cups, shopping bags and disposable tableware, and use of reusable cups or containers with environmental labels.
